In this issue, Yuwei Hu and Itamar Willner review oligo-adenine-derived secondary nucleic acid frameworks, their structures, and applications. The Minireview deals with stable silica-based zeolites with three-dimensional systems of extra-large pores (Miguel A. Camblor et al.).
In the original research section, Ming-Hua Xu et al. describe an enantioselective diarylcarbene insertion into B–H and O–H bonds that is induced by conformational locking using a cationic Rh(I) diene catalyst (see picture). Peng-peng Wang et al. explored geometric chirality in nanocrystals to boost the solar-to-hydrogen conversion. Ioanna Chazapi et al. controlled protein assembly with superchaotropic nanoions and Monika M. Pointner et al. present a phosphorus tantalum nitride with mixed-valent tantalum and P/Ta disorder: P1−xTa8+xN13 (x = 0.1–0.15).
