Jeanne B. Li, 81, of Beverly, Massachusetts, died Nov. 21, 2025.
“Jeanne was an extraordinary scientist whose dedication and talent advanced the field of liquid chromatography separations. She authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and presented at more than 80 conferences, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues worldwide. Her curiosity and passion for discovery extended beyond the lab, as she traveled globally for both professional growth and personal exploration. She cherished the outdoors, enjoyed hiking, skiing, birding, and sailing, and devoted years to volunteering with Mass Audubon, inspiring others to protect nature. Jeanne’s intellect, kindness, and generosity left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. She will be deeply missed.”—Henry Shion, friend and colleague
