ACS Fall 2026 will be taking place in Chicago. Chicago is known for history, food, and architecture. The famous Route 66 begins in front of the Art Institute of Chicago, the first self-sustaining nuclear chain reaction took place in 1942 at the University of Chicago, and what is formerly known as the Sears Tower was the tallest building in the world from the early 1970s to 1998. This year, the American Chemical Society will continue celebrating its own historic milestone of its 150th anniversary year.
Attendees can be part of the action either in person in Chicago or online with special digital programming. The program will feature keynote speakers, social events and spaces for networking, and tailored career, industry, and student and postdoctoral researcher events. This year’s events will also include special 150th-year programming featuring influential chemists and ACS presidents.
