Milan—The drug services industry descended on Milan this week for the annual CPHI pharmaceutical ingredient convention. The crowds were thick, and announcements from several major companies indicated that investment continues, despite plans by some big drug companies to make more of their products themselves.
The pharmaceutical services firm SK pharmteco said it will spend $200 million over the next 5 years to expand US capacity to make peptides and small molecules for drug industry customers.
