Alan F. Rogers, 96, of Fort Myers, Florida, died June 18, 2026.
“Alan was a respected scientist and manager who was a member of the American Chemical Society for over 70 years. He was proud of his service as first lieutenant in the Air Force from 1951 to 1957. An avid sailor, sailing out of Westport Point, Massachusetts, and then Punta Gorda, Florida, he became the squadron education officer of the Peace River Sail and Power Squadron in Charlotte County, Florida, teaching basic boating skills and celestial navigation between taking cruises around southwestern Florida and the Keys. Alan and his wife Muriel were constant companions and partners in good deeds during their 73-year marriage.”—Donald Rogers, son
