Jay M. Gehlhausen, 62, of Apex, North Carolina, died July 5, 2026.
“Jay’s expertise and passion for his field led to a distinguished career in forensic and analytical toxicology. For the past 8 years, he owned and operated JG Tox, providing toxicology consulting services. He was also a widely respected expert witness in forensic toxicology and a part-time adjunct professor at Meredith College. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jay was an avid bird watcher and loved long-distance cycling, cruising, and traveling.
