Ronald D. Archer, 93, of Amherst, Massachusetts, died April 25, 2026.
“Ron will be remembered for his gregarious personality and inquisitive mind. He published numerous articles and reviews on his research in coordination chemistry, and wrote a book, Inorganic and Organometallic Polymers. Ron was active at the local and national levels of the American Chemical Society. He served in several leadership roles, including as Division of Chemical Education chair, and was an ACS fellow. He was a strong advocate for chemical education and shared his enthusiasm for chemistry with students and postdocs. Ron will be remembered fondly as a devoted teacher, father, grandfather, and active member of his church and local community.”—Sharon Archer, daughter
