Edward J. Valente, 77, of Welches, Oregon, died May 4, 2026.
“Ed was passionately devoted to undergraduate research and published hundreds of papers with his students over the years. In his private life, his family, especially his grandchildren, was his greatest joy. He was a calligraphic artist and a student of medieval sacred music.
