Dean F. Martin, 93, of Tampa, Florida, died April 14, 2026.
“Dean and his beloved late wife, Barbara B. Martin, edited Florida Scientist, the quarterly journal of the Florida Academy of Sciences, for 27 years. They shared a sense of philanthropy that led to six endowments at Grinnell College, two at Pennsylvania State University, and four at the University of Southern Florida. In addition, he shared responsibility for support of the University of Southern Florida Reserve Officers’ Training Corps programs in Air Force, Army, and Navy/Marines.”—Brian Martin, son
